Love this app! Always reliable, records well, I can upload to DropBox, then tweak it in Audacity! It works great every time. Ive never been disappointed with this useful app!! Hope they keep updating this app for Apple ios for years to come!!

I love this app. It is easy to use and gets the job done.

I have used this app for 3 years. O was very impressed with the performance. This last year there have been many updates causing me to loose valuable recordings. The app is not stable.

Please change the icon back, or add back the red to the latest rendition, please! Simply the best audio recorder that money can buy. The recordings are clean and clear even in environments where the discussions are low or distant. I use this recorder primarily for interviews and interrogations. I have recorded interviews that were over four hours with no issues whatsoever. I found that it works best when your phone is placed into airplane mode for long recordings to avoid incoming call interruptions. It also categorizes your recordings in a way similar to our criminal complaint numbers. Simply the most practical app in the App Store!

Great program, but why did you change the icon. The new one is awful. Please change it back!!!!

Please switch back to the old icon. Its simple, easy to be stood out among other icons, especially the red color. Thank you.

The watch app needs to be connected via Bluetooth to the iPhone or you cant record. I have two other applications that are the same as this app and they dont need to be connected to the phone to record I could have my watch in airplane mode and it still wouldnt record Also while recording on iPhone theres a pulsing red light like a red alert on the Star Trek enterprise which is not very pleasing to me

Found the new icon cool for me!! It looks like recorder for professional metal band!! I’ve used this for years now, never needed to look for another voice recording. Very useful! Stable, works as expected, and with a very clean, easy to understand UI. Its one of those rare apps that just does exactly what it says it does. Also, sound quality is awesome even the person is far from me while I’m recording. Voice recorder HD has always been great and this app never failed me. Thank you! BASIC RECORDER I use “Voice Recorder HD” to record live music, environmental sounds, lectures, and group discussions with my iPhone and iPad mini. It works very well and is reliable; my longest recording was 8 hours without any glitches or crashing. I like the three “Quality” settings. I use the High setting for wide bandwidth music recordings and the Low setting for lectures and group discussions to minimize memory usage. I would have run out of memory if I did not use the Low setting for my 8 hour recording! The Medium setting is a good compromise between bandwidth and low memory usage. IN-APP PURCHASES AUDIO BOOST The Audio Boost in-app purchase is extremely useful, especially for lecture and group discussion recordings. There always seems to be one person really LOUD and close to the microphone and others far away and quiet. Unless you are listening to your recordings with headphones in a quiet room, you are constantly changing the iPhone volume control to hear the quiet people and avoid blasting your ears when the loud people talk. The Audio Boost does this automatically and has three settings: whisper, standard, and high fidelity. The “high fidelity” mode does the minimum amount of volume level adjusting and basically “levels” your recordings so they will play back at the same level as your music or phone calls. I use this settings for live music recordings and to avoid changing the volume level between this and other apps. I use the “standard” setting the most. It does more volume level adjusting and works great with lecture and group discussion recordings, allowing the quiet/far people to be heard as easily as the loud/close people. The “whisper” setting is like an audio microscope; you can easily hear low level sounds, such as HVAC fan noise, people turning pages, anything really quiet. It does tend to produce noisier recordings (background noise does get amplified), so I do not use this setting very much. AUDIO VISUALIZER I purchased the Audio Visualizer for fun. It is a low resolution waveform display of the recording that shows where the loud and quiet parts of your recording are located in time. I like to compare the pre and post Audio Boost recordings with the visualizer; it is obvious where the audio boosting occurred. WAV to M4A CONVERSION WAV recordings are like music CDs in that both are uncompressed data formats. Converting to an M4A compressed file format uses much less memory. Audiophiles claim the compressed files do not sound as good as the uncompressed files, but for a lecture or group discussion, who cares! OTHER I do any required editing of my recordings on my iMac with another app, so I can’t comment on the Playback Controls or the Trimming in-app purchases. CONCLUSION Overall, this is a great app!

Does the basic job well. The basic controls are for recording session -- which pulls up a basic recorder and then theres the button for list of past records. That level of the recorder lets you change file name. -- Which ends up being important if you do a lot of these things. And theres a section for doing various things with the recording. Emailing it, having the company transcribe it for you with their service. Dropping you finished recording into Dropbox. (Which is most useful.) --- Emailing becomes problematic because the files are often large. And thats my only real gripe with the program. There really should be a way for them to keep audio quality, while shrinking file size a bit. They should be giving us file sizes which are small enough so its easy to send anywhere you want.

I love this recording app it allows you to record with the screen off so others dont suspect your recording them. It doesnt chew up your battery while on!!! I labeled Doctor important notes. Its just an all around good recording app. Try this app it wont disappoint you.

This app delivers! Sound quality is superb and is very easy to use. I highly recommend it! Best one out there!

The audio booat is an additional charge and I tested both with audio boost and without audio boost and I could not see the difference,

i have pay the amount to use this app but when I downloaded I cant use it its not opening please return my money .

App has been crashing for the past few days. Please fix it!!!!

I used to like this app a lot and bought all the options. Then in iOS 8 it stopped saving files and new update now just crashes on open. Dont buy till they fix this!!!
